A bench with a view of nothing in particular

Not every view needs mountains. Sometimes a parking lot and a stubborn crow will do.

The bench was damp, the coffee was average, and the dog was convinced that every person leaving the grocery store had brought something specifically for him.

We stayed longer than necessary. Most good things seem to happen after the necessary part is over.
